The compiling of application dossiers for authorisation for biocidal products is conducted at the national level. A helpdesk has been set up to meet the needs of manufacturers wishing to submit such applications. ANSES, in support of the French Ministry of Ecology, has set up this free service to enable companies to find sufficient information on the various aspects of biocide regulations to meet their regulatory obligations.

Who is it for

This helpdesk is aimed at any company that produces, imports, uses or markets a biocidal product: producers, formulators, importers, applicants/third-party applicants, current authorisation holders and downstream users.

What is it for

The main aim of the helpdesk is to assist companies wishing to apply for marketing authorisation for biocidal products, following the gradual entry into force of new regulatory requirements under the Biocidal Product Directive 98/8/EC. It also aims to facilitate access to the regulations, to information on the marketing of biocidal products, and to the procedures in force in France.
