Only identified and notified active substances ( A.S.) are included in the programme for the revision of Directive 98/8/EC. After the dossiers have been evaluated, the A.S. will be included or not in Annex I or IA to Directive 98/8/EC for specific product types.

An Inclusion Directive, specific to an active substance, allows a particular product type to be included in one of the annexes. This Directive gives the dates of official inclusion of the A.S. and thus the deadline for submitting applications for certain existing biocidal products containing them.
