ANSES, a public administrative establishment, under the supervision of the French Ministries of Agriculture, Consumer affairs, Ecology, Health and Labour, has developed this free helpdesk service.

These instructions will help you find the information you need for preparing and submitting applications for biocidal products.

If you wish to apply for authorisation for your biocidal product, a FAQ page is available online which gives you preliminary answers to any questions you may have.

If you are unfamiliar with European regulations and their application in France for biocidal products, please look under the Regulations section.

You may look for any terms or acronyms with which you are unfamiliar in the Glossary.

If you have a product to market but do not know the procedure for submitting an application, refer to the Dossier Submission section which will outline the initial steps to be taken.

If you wish to make a special application or simply want to understand the processes associated with different types of applications, refer to the Procedures section.

The Useful Links section allows you to access a broad range of information on regulations, whether for making an online declaration, or for accessing guidance documents to help you prepare your dossier correctly.

Finally, if you do not find the information you are looking for, or you need further details on products, regulations, application in France... the Contact section has forms that have been produced specifically for this purpose.
