The French regulations also apply in the DROMs (French Guiana, Martinique, Guadeloupe, La Réunion and Mayotte, Saint-Martin, Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, Clipperton). They are only partially applicable to COMs, however, since these entities enjoy a certain degree of autonomy and determine themselves which specific regulations should be enforced when the French Environmental Code or General Local Authorities Code (CGCT) does not specify otherwise.
